Why have a Web Site?

Asking this question in 2005, is like asking "why should I have a phone?" in 1955.

The world wants to know what you have to offer, and if you dont include a web site as one way of letting the world know about you, you may go unnoticed.
More and more people, for business and pleasure, are relying on the web as their main means of getting information about products and services.

Unless one can positively say why one should not have a web site, the presumption is that a site is neccessary.

. Your site enables you to communicate with present and potential clients, and vice versa.
. Your web site is a key marketing tool.
. Your site enables you to communicate your ideas, beliefs, attitudes and values in a very personal manner.
. Your site enables you to explain concepts and technical terms in your way, with as much detail as you choose.
. Your site will be found by people using search engines to find your type of service.
. Your site enables your existing customers to associate your service with an Internet address, making it potentially easier to move your business should you decide to do so without losing customers in the process.
. The more effectively and regularly you can inform people about who you are, the more work you will create, and the more money you will make.
. Your site is an extremely cost-effective way of advertising.
